Thackeray review: Nawazuddin Siddiqui roars in this rushed biopic

Siddiqui believes playing Bal Thackeray was a once in a lifetime opportunity. “An actor has so many possibilities to showcase his skills in such roles. You are fortunate and lucky to get such a character,” he said.

“You don’t get a chance to use such skills while playing those typical hero and villain characters. I have taken five years of acting training and have many years of experience in theatre. All that I learnt then can be utilized while playing this character,” he added.

Thackeray was a bilingual released in Marathi and Hindi. The film saw Amrita Rao essay the character of the protagonist’s wife Meenatai Thackeray.
