Vivek Oberoi’s PM Narendra Modi to be released on 12 April

PM Narendra Modi, a biopic on prime minister Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi, is set to be released on 12 April. Interestingly, the film is scheduled for release just one day after the first phase of polling for the seventeenth Lok Sabha. The election is being held in seven phases.

“This is a very special film and a story that needs to be told. I hope this story of faith inspires the audiences. We are excited and happy to release the story to 1.3 billion people,” producer Ssandip Singh said in a statement.

Director Omung Kumar said, “PM Narendra Modi the film will traverse the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as chief minister on to his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the prime minister of India.”

Oberoi is joined by the likes of Darshan Kumaar, Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan and Zarina Wahab in the film. The film had gone on the floors on 28 January.
