Vir Das returns to Netflix with second stand-up special titled Losing It

Actor-comedian Vir Das is set to return to Netflix with a new comedy special, Losing It. This makes the actor the only Indian to have a second such program with the global digital platform. Das had a successful run of a comedy special, titled Abroad Understanding, back in April 2017.

Speaking about the program, Das said, “The new show is called Vir Das LOSING IT. It’s something I’ve been working on for the last year. The first Netflix special took me across the world and to brand new audiences. I’m hoping to show them a new side to my comedy in this show. It’s going to cover world events, some controversial topics, but also get a whole lot more personal.”

Das is in rare company with his second Netflix special. So far only comedians Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock and Aziz Ansari have had more than one Netflix special. The decision also arrives in the same week as the digital channel’s decision to launch eight original films targeting the Indian audience.

Das’s Losing It will stream on the platform on 11 December.
