Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor’s dance film to be released on 8 November

The dance film starring actors Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor now has a release date. Directed by Remo D’souza, the film, has been scheduled to be released on 8 November this year. The makers announced the same with an exclusive image featuring Dhawan.

Even though we don’t see his face, it’s clear that Dhawan has chosen to go with blonde highlights for the role. And that shiny jacket is unmissable too! Also, unmissable are his six-pack abs, which seem to have gone through a lot of finishing during the photo edit.

The film is tentatively being called 3, though Dhawan has hinted that the team is one step closer to announcing the final name.

The film will see Prabhu Deva reuniting with the ABCD gang. The actor-dancer had played the crucial role of a mentor-choreographer in the first ABCD film.

The cast and crew recently started the first schedule of the film in Punjab, where Dhawan injured himself while trying to perfect a dance move. The actor was trying to perfect a dance move, a knee drop, while shooting a song. According to a Mumbai Mirror tabloid report yesterday, Dhawan did it 15 times before busting his knee and getting severe muscle cramps.

“Varun was required to shoot three dance pieces with three different dance crews – V unbeatable, Urban crew and N house crew. After performing one particular step, a knee drop, around 15 times, he ended up with a busted knee and severe leg cramps. Now, that he’s back in Mumbai, he’s tending to the injury with is physio,” the report said.

In the film, Kapoor will play a dancer from Pakistan, while Dhawan plays a dancer from Punjab.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar the film also stars Nora Fatehi.
