SS Rajamouli’s film with Ram Charan, Jr NTR to be launched on 11 November

A year after the second and final part of the Baahubali movies, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is ready with his next project — a yet-untitled Telugu multi-starrer with Ram Charan and Jr NTR, who are teaming up for the first time.

Ram Charan and Jr NTR are believed to be playing brothers in this rumoured boxing-based drama, which will be bankrolled by DVV Entertainments on a budget of Rs300 crore. In a statement issued on the weekend, the makers confirmed that the film will be officially launched on 11 November at 11am in Hyderabad.

Not long ago, producer DVV Danayya had said in a media interaction that the film would be a visual treat. “The pre-production work has been going on for months. The art department has commenced work on erecting sets where a crucial portion of the film will be shot. The estimated budget will be Rs300 crore. This is going to be a visual treat for fans and audiences alike,” Danayya had said.

The industry grapevine is that Baahubali stars Prabhas and Rana Daggubati will be the main guests at the launch ceremony of the project, slated to hit the screens next year.

It is worth mentioning here that both Ram Charan and Jr NTR recently admitted having signed the project, currently dubbed RRR, without listening to the script. “I believe in Rajamouli,” Ram Charan told reporters while promoting Rangasthalam (2018). “His stories have strong content and are character-driven. I’m yet to listen to the script. Rajamouli promised he will narrate the script soon.”

The rest of the cast and crew will be announced at the launch, according to reliable sources. Jr NTR has already started training for his part in the film. After achieving the desired look with international trainer Lloyd Stevens in Aravindha Sametha (2018), he has joined hands with him once again for this project.
