Sonali Kulkarni plays a fun-loving mom suffering from retrograde amnesia

The teaser of director Swapna Waghmare Joshi’s gave an idea that Sonali Kulkarni’s character Madhuri doesn’t wish to reveal her real age. But the trailer reveals that she is actually suffering from retrograde amnesia. It’s a kind of amnesia where a person believes he or she is much younger than his or her actual age.

The film revolves around Madhuri (Kulkarni), who lives with her daughter (Sanhita Joshi). The single mother believes she is still 20 years old as she is suffering from retrograde amnesia. Hence, she refuses to believe that she is a mother. Her daughter and her friend try helping her out.

As Madhuri believes she is a youngster, she lives a fun-loving life. When her daughter enlists the help of psychiatrist Dr Tushar (Sharad Kelkar), Madhuri flirts with him too. But her condition brings serious twists in the tale later.

It is not often that you see a film based on a person suffering from such condition being so light-hearted in nature. The credit for this largely goes to Kulkarni for being youthful and spunky. The music also plays its part in keeping the mood upbeat.

The trailer also shows a glimpse of Subodh Bhave, who seems to be Madhuri’s acquaintance. The promo reveals a lot about the film.

Produced by Urmila Matondkar and husband Mohsin Akhtar, Madhuri will be released on 30 November.
