Sheryl Crow Biography
The singer was born Sheryl Suzanne Crow to Wendell and Bernice Crow on February 11, 1962, in Kennett, Missouri. She was raised there alongside two sisters, Kathy and Karen and a brother, Steve.
For her education, Crow went to the Kennett High School and later moved to the University of Missouri in Columbia from where she obtained a music composition degree. Even though music has always been her thing since she was a little girl, Sheryl Crow was into track events when she was in school and was also a majorette.
Before she was through with her education, Crow sang in a band, Cashmere, with which she performed locally. As soon as she was through with her education, she got a job with an elementary school as a music teacher but soon left for Los Angeles to pursue her career in entertainment.
In LA, the first things she got involved in was recording advertising jingles and then working as a backup singer who would later work with people like Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, and Don Henley.
Before she started her career fully, she joined the band, The Tuesday Music Club in 1991. The band had her then-boyfriend, Kevin Gilbert, David Baerwald, David Ricketts, and Bill Bottrell as members. The band released Tuesday Night Music Club in 1993.
Sheryl got the doors slammed on her by the band after she claimed on Late Show with David Letterman that the band’s Leaving Las Vegas was an autobiographical piece when it was actually a combined effort by the members of the band. It was after this that she went solo and released her first work, Sheryl Crow in 1996. The album won the Best Rock Album of the year at the Grammys while Sheryl was named Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for If It Makes You Happy.

Fairway to Heaven (1996), and Cougar Town (2010).
