Singer Sonu Nigam was rushed to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital late on Wednesday night after his arrival from Orissa. The singer was returning after attending a musical event in Jeypore, when he was taken admitted for a “seafood allergy”.
Putting up a post on his Instagram, Nigam revealed that the allergy left him with a swollen left eye, and another with the oxygen mask on his face.
The singer wrote: ‘Now that you know that I am returning back from Jeypore Orissa after managing a concert last night, I now don’t mind sharing how I was the day before yesterday. Lesson for all of us, Never ever ever ever take a chance with allergies. Sea food in my case. If Nanavati Hospital wasn’t near by, my trachea would have swollen up further and lead to asphyxiation.’
The singer has been involved in several controversies over his comments about Pakistani artistes, as well as his spat with singer Sona Mohapatra over his support for composer Anu Malik who was accused in a sexual harassment case.
