Rinku Rajguru plays an unexpected character

The wait to see actress Rinku Rajguru after her exceptional debut Sairat (2016), which released three years ago, is finally over. After a couple of delays, her second movie in Marathi, Kaagar, has finally got a release date.

Kaagar, directed by Makarand Mane, will be releasing on 26 April. Incidentally, Sairat had released on 29 April 2016.

The teaser of the film, which is just out, throws plenty of light on Rajguru’s character and the storyline. The film takes place in a village in Maharashtra called Virainagar.

Rajguru is about to marry her beau [Shubhankar Tawde], who is all set to make a career in politics. Her character wants him to excel in public life. However, it is later realized that she has some ulterior and selfish motive behind her marriage with him.

Going by the teaser, the story of Kaagar is not only interesting, but also exciting. However, there is a huge question mark on the reason for revealing a huge plot twist in the teaser itself (we wonder what all they will reveal in the trailer) and additionally, we are also given the consequences of the twist.

Rajguru appears confident, as well as pretty, in a challenging role. This is the first time that Tawde is playing a lead role.

This is Mane’s third film as director after Ringan: The Quest (2017) and Youngraad (2018).

Although Kaagar has got delayed, such a subject releasing right in the middle of the Lok Sabha elections is apt.
