It looks like Dinesh Vijan’s wedding will not keep the producer away from launching new projects. Reports suggest that Vijan’s Maddock Films is teaming up with Rajkummar Rao for yet another horror-comedy after their last runaway success, Stree (2018). The new film will be directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, who helmed the Fukrey franchise.
Mumbai Mirror, a tabloid, quoted Vijan as saying, “Yes, Raj [Rajkumar Rao] and I are back and I couldn’t be happier as he is one of the most talented actors we have today. He springs a surprise with every film, and this one will be no different.”

The producer also revealed that Rao will be ‘playing a small-time goon whose plans go haywire when he discovers that he might be in for some supernatural encounters’.
The film will also see Varun Sharma in a supporting role with Rao in the film. Sharma is already a part of Vijan’s upcoming Arjun Patiala, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon.
The supernatural film will mark the third venture between Rajkummar Rao and Dinesh Vijan. Rao was the lead in Stree. The actor is also playing the lead in Made In China, which will see the actor share screen with Mouni Roy and Boman Irani. In addition, Maddock Films is also working on a sequel to Stree.
