Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, whose recent wedding was one of the most talked about events in India and the US, have received a Simpson-ized tribute.
Chopra took to Twitter to share two pictures, The Simpsons’ version of her Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies, which took place at the Umaid Bhawan palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on 1 and 2 December.
The Hindu wedding was illustrated by artist Rino Russo, who recently went viral for illustrating famous footballers, including Neymar, as part of The Simpsons universe. The Christian wedding was recreated by artist Steart Stefano Monda.
In the first post, a Simpsons-like Priyanka is seen dressed in her famous Ralph Lauren white gown as Homer presides over the wedding ceremony. Nick’s father Paul Kevin Jonas had officiated at the ceremony in real life.
In the second post, The Simpsons versions of Chopra in a Sabyasachi red lehenga and Nick in his sherwani are seen posing outside the Simpsons’ home. Homer, his wife Marge and kids Bart, Maggie and Lisa are seen photobombing the newlyweds.
Interestingly, Chopra is depicted as yellow-skinned in Monda’s version while Russo’s version shows her as brown-skinned.

Chopra and Jonas hosted three receptions after their marriage — one in New Delhi for her family, with prime minister Narendra Modi attending, and two in Mumbai, one for the media and the other for Chopra’s friends in the film industry.
Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and Shahid Kapoor were among those who attended the reception.
Chopra is now back in the US and posted a picture where she is seen celebrating Christmas with the huge Jonas family.
