Prabhas’ Saaho to be released on 15 August, to clash with Mission Mangal and Batla House

Superstar Prabhas’ keenly anticipated Saaho has finally secured a release date. The film will see the light of day on India’s Independence Day, 15 August 2019. Directed by Sujeeth, the film is a trilingual, which has been shot in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Saaho is said to be a slick spy thriller. It also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Chunky Pandey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Murli Sharma, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi and others.

The film is touted to be the biggest release of 2019. An official statement from the makers, said, “[Saaho is] set to have one of the biggest releases of 2019 with the biggest screen count for any Indian film.”

The film is Prabhas’ next release after SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion [2017], which was the second part in the Baahubali series. The first teaser of the film was released with the 2017 movie and it has been in the news ever since.

Saaho will be clashing with two big Hindi films on Independence Day — Akshay Kumar-starrer Mission Mangal and John Abraham-starrer Batla House. Interestingly, Akshay and John had also clashed this year as their films Gold and Satyameva Jayate had released on Independence Day. This time they have Saaho for company.
