NOSA2 Trailer Has Demon Kids and Zachary Quinto’s Christmas Vampire

AMC has released the first trailer for NOS4A2, the horror series based on the novel by Joe Hill. If you had trouble with that title—it’s Nosferatu, as in this bat-eared homie right here—just wait until you get a load of the footage, which features demon kids, a magic motorbike, and Zachary Quinto playing a Christmas vampire(?) named Charlie Manx who abducts the souls of children and brings them to his nightmarish winter wonderland.

A lot going on here, and I almost wish the trailer did a more coherent job summing it up (Hill’s book is very good). But anyone who was introduced to Quinto through his chilling American Horror Story turn—or even as Sylar on Heroes—knows he can ramp his creepiness up with the best of them. Ashleigh Cummings (The Goldfinch) also stars as Vic McQueen, the only child to ever escape Manx’s clutches, who later in life discovers she has to uncanny ability to find lost things by riding her motorbike over a supernatural bridge.

NOS4A2 was adapted for the screen by Fear the Walking Dead executive-producer Jami O’Brien. The series also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Darby Camp, and Rarmian NewtonYou can check out the trailer below, followed by the official synopsis. NOS4A2 premieres Sunday, June 2 on AMC, right after Fear the Walking Dead.

Here is the official synopsis for NOS4A2:

The supernatural horror series NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name, tells the story of Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift.
