Following his debut, the versatile actor landed a movie role in the food-feud comedy, Jadoo. Similarly, he acted in movies Halal Daddy and Honour in the latter years. In addition to that, he also featured on television dramas like Law and Order: UK and Midsomer Murders.

Aafrin Dalal in Indian Summers

During his peak years, the British-Indian got a role in the Channel 4’s big-budgeted Indian Summers. He starred in the show alongside Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Julie Walters, and Patrick Malahide.

Patel portrayed the role of the lead character, Aafrin Dalal, who received immense limelight with his performance. The show premiered globally in countries like the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Estonia, Sweden, and Norway.

Even though the 34-year-old artist received quite a positive response to his role, the audience seemed to dislike the overall show. Later, Patel commented on the situation that the critics were unjust considering the strength of the script in every little bit.

Mitch on Doctor Who

The juvenile talent featured on an episode of the renowned BBC science-fiction, Doctor Who. While he played the guest role of Mitch in the 287th episode, Revolution, the fans seemed to adore the short stint he did in the show.

One of Patel’s best works came recently in American romantic comedy show, Four Weddings and a Funeral. He also starred in the mini-series alongside Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel and Rebecca Rittenhouse. 

The emerging personality perfected the role of Kash Khan in the show, which premiered on July 31, 2019.

Worked in Broadway

Before getting the roles on screen, the emerging artist pursued his dream of an actor in theatres. Firstly, he acted in Anupama Chandrasekhar‘s Disconnect at Royal Court Theatre back in 2010. Furthermore, he also featured on The Merchant of Venice, Donny’s Brain, a Drawing the Line in different broadways.
