After a disastrous opening weekend and first Monday, Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s Mohalla Assi continues with its losing streak.
The film, starring Sunny Deol, Sakshi Tanwar, Saurabh Shukla and Ravi Kishan, earned only Rs1.73 crore in its entire first week, as per figures shared by Boxofficeindia.com. It earned Rs20 lakh on Monday (19 November) and Rs15 lakh on Thursday (22 November).
The fate of Vinod Kapri’s Pihu is no different. Although the film has relatively fared better than Mohalla Assi, its earnings are still low. The thriller, centered on a 2-year-old child practically left alone at home, has earned only Rs2.60 crore in its first week at the box office.
The earnings of Hollywood film Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald have come down after a decent opening weekend. The film has earned a total of Rs16 crore in one week.
Meanwhile, Amit Ravindernath Sharma’s Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, had a very good fifth week and earned Rs7.50 crore. The film’s total currently stands at Rs126 crore.
Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun has completed 50 days at the box office. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte, the film has earned Rs71.21 crore so far.
Neerraj Pathak’s Bhaiaji Superhit, starring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Arshad Warsi, Amisha Patel and Shreyas Talpade, released today (23 November), but the film is not expected to affect the earnings of holdover releases.
