The title H2O is clearly indicative of the subject — water. In the recently released first trailer of the Marathi film, we see a village that is experiencing water scarcity. Produced by GS Film Productions, the film is the directorial debut of Milind Patil.
The film revolves around an educated youngster (Ashok Dhage) who is deeply concerned about the issue of water scarcity in his village. He and his friends take efforts to conserve water in order to reduce the problem. However, he has to deal with the son of an evil politician of the village. The situation compels him to become a leader. He is in love with a girl from the village, played by Sheetal Ahirrao.
Although the subject of H2O is deeply relevant in the times we are living, the trailer is quite haphazard. The trailer is cut devoid of any continuity, and seems to be a random mixture of a few incidents and a couple of songs without proper flow.
In the beginning, it looks like a sports film revolving around basketball. But the story progresses on a different line altogether. This confusion should have been avoided.
H2O will be released on 12 April.
