Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika crosses Rs50 crore 

Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi has had a fair run at the box office so far. The film has collected Rs50 crore nett in six days. Wednesday’s collection was Rs4.10 crore nett, taking Manikarnika’s domestic business to Rs53.10 crore nett so far, as reported by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The film features Kangana Ranaut in the titular role.

The epic period film, based on the life rani Laxmibai, has collected Rs12.85 crore in the three days of the week so far. Manikarnika had a decent opening weekend, during which it collected Rs40.25 crore nett. Producers Zee Studios, Nishant Pitti and Kairos Kontent will hope for the film’s business to improve in the second weekend.

Made at a budget in excess of Rs100 crore, Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi was released on 3,000 screens in India. As per sources, the combined satellite, digital and music rights have been sold to Zee for Rs40 crore, with Zee believed to have a deal with Amazon Prime Video for the digital streaming.

Apart from the box office, the film has been making a noise for the wrong reasons as co-directors Ranaut and Krish exchanged barbs over direction credit.
