John Abraham, Nikkhil Advani, Bhushan Kumar to produce 6 films together

Actor-producer John Abraham, director-producer Nikkhil Advani and producer Bhushan Kumar have entered into a joint venture to produce six films.

“Under this collaboration, a slate of films will be jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series, John Abraham’s JA Entertainment and Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment,” read an official statement.

The statement further informed that John will be involved only as a producer in some of the films. Similarly, Advani will also be directing a project or two under this partnership.

Other directors who would be helming films under this joint venture include Baazaar (2018) director Gauravv Chawla, Ranjit Tiwari, who directed Lucknow Central (2017), Samar Shaikh and Kaashvi Nair. Shaikh and Nair will be first-time directors. Both have previously worked with Advani as assistants.

Speaking about the joint venture, Kumar said, “Having worked with John, Nikkhil and everyone at Emmay, I have a very secured partnership. Of equal, if not greater value is their partnership as producers. They are valuable talent assets and we are privileged to have them in our joint venture. With the six films joint venture T-Series intends to leverage their complementary skills in talent access and development as well as efficient production.”

John believes that such small partnerships are the need of the hour. “Market forces today demand that smart alliances are formed to fulfill audience expectations. Our association thus far has been excellent test bed from which we have all learnt a lot,” he said.

The three of them already have two films on floors — Romeo Akbar Walter [RAW] and Batla House — slated to be released on 15 March 2019 and 15 August 2019, respectively.
