Actor Irrfan Khan and his family will be in Mumbai to celebrate Diwali. The actor, who has been recuperating from neuroendocrine tumour in the United Kingdom, will be coming back to India to celebrate the festival of lights, as reported by Mid-Day.com.
The tabloid quoted a source as saying, “Irrfan and his family are planning to celebrate Diwali at their Nashik farmhouse. It will be a 10-day trip after which he will return to the UK for his ongoing treatment.”
Earlier, there were reports that the actor, who has been recovering well, could begin shooting soon for Hindi Medium 2, and Shoojit Sircar’s biopic of Udham Singh. However, Khan’s spokesperson had called the claims a rumour.
“The story floating about Irrfan starting Hindi Medium 2 shoot in December is all based on based on speculations. However, there is a possibility of him returning to India after Diwali,” Khan’s spokesperson had commented earlier.
Khan was last seen in Karwaan (2018). He was to begin shooting for the Vishal Bhardwaj film with Deepika Padukone, but after being diagnosed with a rare disease, Khan had to head to the UK for treatment.
