Hunter Mcgrady Wiki, Husband, Height, Measurements

In a world where the society is not willing to break its glass molds, plus-sized models are quickly making a name for themselves in the modeling world. Hunter Mcgrady, although she did not start out as a size-inclusive model, was soon to rise above the stereotype the society imposed on her body to establish a niche for herself. Marching on, she inspires others to embrace themselves in whatever form while working to be their better versions.

Hunter Mcgrady is a plus-sized model and influencer who continues to challenge the views of what modeling has been in the past. The ombre bombshell also uses her recognition for good; making sure young girls know how beautiful they are. She may be very successful now, but she had a difficult time growing up and had to work very hard to reach the success she enjoys today. So, let’s take a closer look at Hunter Mcgrady’s life and her stunning transformation over the years.

Hunter Mcgrady  Bio

The Los Angeles native was born on the 4th day of May 1993. She was born into a family of entertainers with a father, Michael Mcgrady who is an actor known for TV shows such as Ray Donavan, Southland, American Crime Story and a mother, Brynja McGrady who was a model. She also has a sister named Michaela. Her grandmother and aunt were all models as well, so it is only fitting that she would be in a career that would bring her in front of the camera.

She set out on her journey to follow in the footsteps of the magnolias in her family as a teenager. Hunter started as a straight-size model but was soon to realize that her size was simply unacceptable. The aspiring model was turned down by several agencies who succeeded in ramming into her subconscious that she was never going to fit the narrow mold society wanted her to fit into, which unfortunately, cannot be broken for her.

Then at size 2 and weighing 114 pounds, she tried deesparately to lose 3 inches off her hips which would put her on size 00 scale and qualify her as a model. Consequently, she set to work doing whatever it would take to bring her her desired result. Hunter Mcgrady worked out for hours and ate few calories per day just to belong. While her efforts were paying off, the insecuritues, anxiety, depression that resulted from being shy and scared of the world who never thought her good enough to be in a position where she’d would feel beautiful and confident in her own skin was glaring. As a result, she went on a hiatus until 19.

Her independence day eventually came with the realization that her body was not built to be thin. Oh! how free she felt. Hunter Mcgrady discovered plus sized modeling at the age of 19 and subsequently signed with Wilhelmina Models which prides itself on providing models that fall into every size and range. Since then, she no longer feels bound by the invisible chains to fit a certain mold which at its best has been so confining and brainwashing. As such, she’s now on top of the world and spreads her wings to fly as high as she possibly can.

Since her emergence from her cocoon, Mcgrady uses her new found voice and freedom to advocate for body positivity on whatever platform she finds herself. She is bringing a whole new perspective to the world of modeling just like her counterpart, Ashley Graham, the first plus size model to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s (SI) Swimsuit edition. She has also worked for top brands like Lucky Brands, Bare Necessities, Lane Byrant, modeled for Melissa McCarthy’s line Seven7 and appeared in magazines like Vogue. She also collaborated with Playful Promises to design 10 new swimsuits that incorporated details like molded cups with underwire and thick material for support for their summer collection.

Like Graham, Mcgrady was always to appear in SI and true to the given, she appeared in its Swimsuit edition which is one of the most read publications in the world. That experience which she still relives not only launched her career into the mainstream but was also a big step in not only letting other women know they are beautiful no matter what but that they could also reach their goals, no matter their size. She has also taken her crusade to social media and inspires her over 460k IG followers to imbibe selflove and confidence as she promotes body diversity. Moreover, she has landed many high profile interviews and modeling contracts.

Hunter Mcgrady Husband

The SI swimsuit model met her future husband, Brian Keys on Snapchat in 2016 – a typical modern day romance you would agree. After six months of following her account, they met up in New York in March 2016 and by December, Keys was far convinced he would like to spend the rest of his life with her. Thus, over the holidays, he got down on one knee in a picturesque spot, Bow Bridge in New York Central to ask Hunter to be his wife with a beautiful sparkler. Keys has a daughter from a previous relationship.

The duo who are clearly a match made in heaven are set to walk down the aisle to say “I do” on June 16, 2019 near Mcgrady’s hometown in California.

Height, Weight, Body Measurements

The body positive advocate is size 16 and is super proud of it. She seizes whatever opportunity she can to flaunt it either posing in lingerie or swimwear, mostly in unedited pictures, highlighting her seeming blemishes – stretch mark and cellulites. A true beacon of self love you would say.

At nearly 6 feet tall (1.8 m) and weighing 108 kg (238 lb), she is a curvy woman, though she prefers the term size-inclusive stating that curvy sounds segregating. Hunter Mcgrady is beautiful in every sense of the word, with an ombre hair and heart captivating smile, her confidence is contagious and also commendable.

Her hourglass figure measures 46-40-54 inches (Breasts-Waist-Hips). As an addendum, she wears 42D bra size and size 22 dress incase you want to gift her a dress.
