Celebrity destination weddings are usually closely guarded affairs, and Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s has been no different.
But the moment fans of the two Hindi film stars have been waiting for has arrived. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared first pictures after their two wedding ceremonies.
The star couple first underwent a Chitrapur Saraswat wedding ceremony on 14 November. The next day they had a Sindhi ceremony. The couple chose to wed in Lake Como, Italy.
Padukone, who belongs to the Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin community, hails from Bangalore while Ranveer Singh is a Sindhi from Mumbai.
Ranveer Singh and Padukone were all smiles after their Chitrapur Saraswat wedding ceremony yesterday, while in the Sindhi-style wedding that took place today, we see the two dressed like a royal couple.
Both stars posted identical messages on their Twitter handles, with a heart emoticon and these two pictures from the two wedding ceremonies.
The couple had chosen to keep their wedding a private affair with only family and close friends attending the two ceremonies. Ranveer Singh and Padukone are expected to return to India in a few days with wedding receptions lined up for 21 November in Bangalore and 28 November in Mumbai.
The two artistes have been dating since they began shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-leela (2013). They have since starred together in two other Bhansali blockbusters, Bajirao-Mastani (2015) and Padmaavat (2018).
