Filmmaker Kanu Behl and music composer Sneha Khanwalkar got married on 23 January in Indore in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony which began at 11.30 am and continued till afternoon. Their ceremony and wedding reception was attended by family and close friends.
The haldi and mehendi took place a day before. The couple is expected to host another reception in Delhi on 27 January.
Behl and Khanwalkar first met on Dibakar Banerjee’s Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008). Behl was assisting Banerjee and Khanwalkar composed the score of the comedy film. They later worked together on LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010), once again directed by Banerjee.
Behl made his directorial debut with Titli (2015) starring Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial and Shashank Arora. Khanwalkar has composed the score of his follow-up project, the short film Binnu Ka Sapna (2019). She recently composed the music for Nandita Das’s Manto (2018), starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Kanu Behl’s Binnu Ka Sapna to compete at Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival
In February, the couple is expected to attend the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France where Binnu Ka Sapna has its world premiere.
