Pa Ranjith produced Pariyerum Perumal (2018), which boldly chronicled caste-based issues in Tamil Nadu, has been the talk of the town ever since it was released. Having impressed audiences and critics alike with its raw presentation, the film finally earned much deserved praise from actor-filmmaker Dhanush on Tuesday (13 November).
Dhanush took to Twitter to announce that he finally watched Mari Selvaraj’s Pariyerum Perumal and was blown away by the film. He congratulated the film’s team for delivering a strong feature and went on to reveal that he will next team up with the director Selvaraj for a new project, that will be produced by V Creations.

With an already exciting slate of films in his kitty, Dhanush is the actor to watch out for next year. Last seen playing an accidental gangster in Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai (2018), which struck gold at the box-office, Dhanush will soon begin work on another film based on a novel titled Vekkai with Vetrimaaran. He also has two more parts in the Vada Chennai franchise in the offing, apart from a project each with Ratsasan (2018) director Ram Kumaar and Kodi (2016) fame RS Durai Senthilkumar. Dhanush also awaits the release of Maari 2 and Enai Nokki Paayum Thota.
Meanwhile, the actor also looks forward to the release of his second directorial project next year. Tipped to be a multi-starrer period romantic-drama, the film also stars Akkineni Nagarjuna, SJ Surya, Srikanth, Anu Emmanuel and Aditi Rao Hydari. The film is believed to be made on a budget of Rs70 crore.
