Chhota Bheem and friends on a mission to save a princess

The newest trailer for Chhota Bheem: Kung Fu Dhamaka opens with the abduction of Princess Kia by the evil Zuhu. The Emperor implores those attending the Kung Fu competition to rescue the princess. Chhota Bheem and his friends Chutki, Jaggu, Raju, and Kalia rise to the task.

The Dholakpur gang assembles and trains to bring her back as they travel through China on some wacky and some brave trials.

The popular character returns for another film adventure, directed by Rajiv Chilaka and Binayak Das, right during the summer holidays. Chhota Bheem has clearly upped his fighting skills and possibly gained some inner peace on the way.

The animation of the action sequences is thrilling but the modelling of the characters and locales seems bare for a 3D film. There is still a long way to go for the Indian animation industry to catch up with international productions.

Produced by Green Gold Animation, the 3D animated tale, written by Nidhi Anand and Teja Pratap, is due to be released in theatres on 10 May. Watch the new trailer here:
