Athar Aamir Khan Biography/Wiki

Aamir Khan is a 25 Years old (born on 5 September 1992) IAS officer in Rajasthan. After his schooling, he appeared in several Engineering entrance examinations, and cracked almost all of them and took admission in IIT – Mandi. He passed the B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. During this time, he came to know about Shah Faisal, the topper of UPSC Civil Services Examination and decided to attempt for the IAS exam.

Family, Caste & Wife

Athar Aamir hails from Islam Sunni family in Anantnag, Kashmir. His father Mohammad Shafi Khan is a teacher and mother is a homemaker. He has one younger brother and two younger sisters.

Aamir first met his future wife Tina in 2015 at the IAS felicitation ceremony at the DOPT office in Delhi. They came close to each other during the IAS training period at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration in Mussoorie. In the course of this period, they enjoyed a trip to Netherlands, Paris, and Rome. After cracking the IAS exam in 2016, he got married to Tina Dabi on 20 March 2018 (Court marriage) and then 7 April 2018 (Religious marriage rituals).

he was a genius from his school days. Besides good in studies, he showed his talent in other fields and even won the  ‘Best Young Scientist’ award in the National Children’s Science competition. At the time of doing his B.Tech, with the inspiration of all India UPSC Examination topper Shah Faisal, he developed an interest in the IAS. In 2014, he passed a railways exam and got an offer of a job in the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). But instead of doing this job, he decided to go for the IAS training. In 2016, he cleared the Civil Services Examination (UPSC) with 2nd rank in his first attempt with 50.27% marks.

• As he desired to work for the growth of underdeveloped Indian states, so, he opted for the Jammu & Kashmir cadre, but the vacancies were already filled there, hence, he got satisfied with his second choice the Rajasthan cadre.
