Assamese director Xahid Khan’s short films Mistake and Alert Condition: Red have been selected for the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.
The festival has sections for feature films, short films, documentaries, animations, music videos and ad films. It will take place here on 20 February.
“Official selection of both the films at such a prestigious film festival is really great. I hope our films bring more good news to my home state Assam,” Khan told the IANS news agency.
“Both the films will be screened as well as compete with other films at the festival,” he added.
Alert Condition: Red is a film about a girl who gets her first period in a public place. Mistake tells the story of a girl who one day sends a message to her father instead of her boyfriend.
