Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, currently studying in the United States might soon be making his silver screen debut. Reports sugggest that the youngster has been roped in to assist director Karan Johar in the upcoming period epic, Takht.
Pinkvilla reported that the youngster will make his debut in the industry as an assistant to Johar on the period epic Takht. Takht features Ranveer Singh in the lead as Dara Shikoh, while Vicky Kaushal is expected to play Aurangzeb.
Johar has often described himself as a godfather to Khan’s children. The director is also in the plans to launch Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana, who has acting ambitions.
The recent pictures of Aryan on Instagram set alight rumours that he might be soon making his debut as an actor. However, Shah Rukh in an earlier interview to newspaper Hindustan Times had said, “Aryan is studying to be a filmmaker and a writer, while Suhana wants to be an actor. But, even if he wants to be a filmmaker, he needs to study for another five to six years and not just the literal form of studying, but probably be an assistant to Karan after he finishes his film-making course.”
Aryan is currently pursuing a course in filmmaking in the University of Southern California.
Takht marks the return of Johar to the directorial chair after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). The film is expected to be in theatres in 2020.
