In an exclusive chat with Cinestaan.com, actress Anjali Patil has revealed that she will play an athlete in a biopic to be made in Marathi.
“I am doing a biopic on an Olympic athlete, which is in Marathi,” she said during an interaction to promote her next film, Mere Pyare Prime Minister.
When asked about details, she politely refused because of the non-disclosure clause.
This isn’t the only Marathi project she is doing currently. She is all set to star in the web-series, Hutatma directed by Jayprad Desai. The series is based on the Samyukta Maharashtra movement of 1956.
“Right now I am doing a web-series for Zee5 which is in Marathi called Hutatma. It’s set in 1956. It’s a massive project. I am the lead girl in the show. It’s exhausting, it’s consuming everything that I had in me,” she said.
Desai debuted with the Marathi movie Nagrik (2015). It starred Sachin Khedekar in the role of an honest journalist, while Milind Soman played an evil politician.
