There were big smiles and a large cake as filmmaker Alankrita Shrivastava wrapped up her third feature film, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare (2019). The film with a quirky title finished filming in Mumbai.
Starring Konkona Sensharma and Bhumi Pednekar, the film is due for release this year. Shrivastava updated the film’s status for those who are looking forward to it.
Nearly two weeks ago, Pednekar finished filming her portions of the film. She too was sent off the film with, you guessed it, some cake! Besides their character’s names and their rebel-to-society status, not much has been revealed about the keenly anticipated film.
Produced by Shobha and Ekta Kapoor, a good portion of the film has also been shot in greater Noida.
Besides Sensharma and Pednekar, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare also features Kubbra Sait, Amol Parashar, Karan Kundra and Vikrant Massey, who returns to work with his Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017) director.
