Telugu star Prabhas shot to global fame with the Baahubali franchise. Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) was received warmly in Japan. Now, Prabhas’s next film, Saaho (2019), will also be released in the land of the rising sun.
“Yes, Saaho’s rights have been given to a distributor in Japan,” co- producer V Vamsi Krishna Reddy told the Mumbai Mirror newspaper.
According to the report, Saaho will be released in Japan a few days after the film’s India release, slated for 15 August 2019.
Baahubali director SS Rajamouli and Prabhas had travelled to Japan for the screening of Baahubali 2. The Japanese dubbed version was released on 29 December 2017 and completed 100 days in Japanese theatres. The costume drama received tremendous response from Japanese fans.
Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is a trilingual film being made simultaneously in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Shraddha Kapoor is paired with Prabhas while Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the antagonist. The film is being co-produced by UV Creations, T-Series and Dharma Productions.
