Adil Ahmad Dar was a militant who perpetrated the 2019 Pulwama attack on CRPF’s convoy. He joined militancy in 2018 and was category C militant.

Adil Ahmad Dar was born in 1997 (Age: 22 years old) in Pulwama district in the Indian State of Jammu & Kashmir. He lived in Gundibagh in Pulwama district. His father, Ghulam Hassan Dar, runs a small shop in Kakapora area.
Militant Career
When he was a class XI student, he joined Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in 2018. A police source said that he has been on the radar of security forces ever since he joined a terrorist organisation. Dar’s family said that he was shot in the leg when he participated in the protests against the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen’s ‘commander,’ Burhan Wani in 2016. According to the police sources, he was category C militant. He used to work as a sawmill worker also.
According to reports, he had prepared and waited for the Pulwama attack for a year. On 2:03 pm on Thursday on 14 February 2019, he was driving a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kg of explosives and rammed into the CRPF’s convoy. More than 40 personnel were killed and several were left injured in the attack. Jaish-e-Mohammed took the responsibility of the attack.
