Actress Gurbani Gill’s life has gone through a complete 180-degree change within a year. In 2017, Gill was studying at university in USA, with a major in science. Originally from the state of Washington, she knew she wanted to give acting a try and left to come to Mumbai.
She came to visit Mumbai for three months and auditioned for the title role in Dear Molly (2019). Directed by Gajendra Ahire, the film is about a daughter’s journey to find her missing father in Sweden.
Gill said the she could relate to Molly, her character, personally.
“Just like her I left my parents behind and stepped out of my comfort zone to come to India. I strongly understood Molly’s void of not having her family with her and moving to a new country like Sweden,” she said.
