Kagar release postponed owing to actress Rinku Rajguru’s 12th board exams

After tasting stardom with her debut film Sairat (2016) directed by Nagraj Manjule, Rinku Rajguru has had a long wait for her next, Kagar. The wait just got longer as the producers have decided to postpone the film owing to the actress’s 12th standard board exams.

The film was scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day (14 February), but has been postponed as Rajguru has to be available for the film’s promotions.

“I am myself a lot excited for Kagar. Because of this film I would have got the opportunity to meet my fans and interact with them. But my producers understood that it is necessary for me to give time to my studies since I am in 12th standard and decided to not release the film on 14 February. For this I would like to thank them from all my heart [sic],” said Rajguru in an official statement.

She didn’t reveal the release date, but assured that the wait won’t be long. “Although the film is postponed, it will be released soon,” she added.

Kagar is directed by the National Award winning director Makarand Mane, who has also made Ringan: The Quest (2017) and Youngraad (2018). Vikas Hande and Sudhir Kolte are the producers.
