Rajkummar Rao’s Made In China moved to 30 August 2019, avoids clash with Mission Mangal, Saaho

Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films has moved the release date of his third production in 2019, Made In China, to 30 August 2019. The decision ensures that the film will avoid a clash with films Mission Mangal, Saaho, and Batla House which are releasing on an already crowded Independence Day weekend.

It bodes well that the producer is moving the comedy to last weekend in August. In 2018, Vijan released Amar Kaushik’s Stree on the last weekend of August, 31 August 2018. The horror comedy, starring Rajkummar Rao, went on to gross over Rs100 crore.

Made In China, directed by Mikhil Musale, stars Mouni Roy and Boman Irani. The film went on floors earlier this September.

Besides the August 2019 comedy, Vijan is presenting two other films, the rom-com Luka Chhuppi on 1 March and Arjun Patiala on 3 May. Both films have new lead pairings. Luka Chhuppi stars Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan, while Arjun Patiala stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon.
