SJ Surya shares first glimpse of Amitabh Bachchan from Uyarntha Manithan

Actor-filmmaker SJ Surya on Sunday shared the first glimpse of actor Amitabh Bachchan from the sets of upcoming Tamil film Uyarntha Manithan, which will mark the latter’s Kollywood debut in a full-fledged role.

Surya took to Twitter to share the pictures. He wrote: “Happiest moment of my life. Thank you God, mom and dad for fulfilling a dream which I have never even dreamt of.”

In the pictures shared by Surya, Bachchan is seen wearing a dhoti with a golden border, white shirt and a red gamcha around his neck.

Surya thanked Bachchan for working alongside him. He also thanked superstar Rajinikanth and filmmaker AR Murugadoss. The mention of Rajinikanth and Murugadoss in his tweet got fans curious. Some went on to ask if Surya was working in Murugadoss’s next project with the superstar.

Surya explained why he thanked Rajinikanth and Murugadoss in another tweet.

“Murugadoss sir helped me get this movie on board and our superstar Rajinikanth helped me by announcing the project. That’s why thanked both of them.”

During the launch of Uyarntha Manithan last year, Surya said: “Even before I ventured into showbiz as an assistant director, I craved for this moment to work with him.  Now, to see it happening sends gold rush into my veins, but at the same time, I’m nervous to imagine that I am going to share the screen space with him.”

The film is being directed by Tamilvaanan, who had previously directed Surya in Kalavanin Kaadhali.
